Today’s menu is?
Backrib Kimchi Stew and Clear Bartail Flathead Soup
등갈비 김치찜과 맑은 양태탕
[Deung-kal-bi Kim-chi-jjim gwa Malk-eun yang-tae-tang]

Even just thinking about it, isn’t it an unbelievably fantastic combination…?
Are you drooling just thinking about it…?
Is it really reality that both of them are gonna be made…?

※Since the process is complicated, Buffering-Eric could happen※

 

Instructions:

  1. Defrost the backribs in water please.
  2. To Gochujang, add a lot of Chilli Pepper Flakes please.
  3. Add 2 spoonfuls of maeshil extract + 1 spoonful of corn syrup + a bit of pepper + sesame oil please.
  4. If you mix them well, the marinade for backribs is done.
  5. Slice the radish, onions, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and cabbage to prepare.
  6. Once the water for the ribs has come to a boil, add bay leaves.
  7. Add a spoonful of doenjang too.
  8. Sprinkle salt too.
  9. To the savoury doenjang broth, add the ribs.
  10. To the other boiling water, add dashima, dried shrimp and shiitake mushrooms to let steep.
  11. While the water boils, remove the innards of the bartail flathead (fish).
  12. Once the ribs are boiled properly, take them out.
  13. To remove the meaty smell, wash in cold water.
  14. Add minced garlic to the previously made marinade.
  15. Add some radish to a pot and put the bartail flathead dish atop.
  16. Cover it with the boiling broth previously made. (See 10)
  17. Add welsh onions and salt too.
  18. Separate the ribs in the way that you like to eat.
  19. Add the previously made marinade to the ribs and mix well till the ribs are all covered.
  20. Add the sliced onions to the pot that will cook the ribs.
  21. Add the ribs on it.
  22. Atop that, cover with cut kimchi.
  23. Cover it with the water used to boil the ribs and the broth made for the Bartail Flathead Soup (See 10).
  24. Once the Bartail Flathead Soup boils, add the rest of the vegetables to it.
  25. Season with salted  shrimp.
  26. Top the soup off with Water Parsley
